Shopify can hold rich product content, but it is not designed to compare repeated supplier observations or govern a multi-source catalog before publication. Importing raw files directly makes the storefront the place where cleanup, merchandising, and correction collide.

Nexodo separates those jobs. Supplier CSV files and Google Sheets enter the PIM, where mappings, rules, source comparisons, and approvals shape the canonical record.

Connection

A controlled handoff through a managed Shopify integration.

Nexodo connects Shopify through Composio. The current production setup uses a store's permanent myshopify domain and Shopify access token to establish the managed connection; Nexodo retains the connection identifier rather than the provider token.

Store-level OAuth can be introduced when dedicated Shopify client credentials are configured. We state this boundary because integration security should be inspectable, not hidden behind a connector logo.

Publishing

Preview the product change before customers see it.

Choose the approved products and inspect the proposed Shopify payload. The preview creates a last operational checkpoint for content and variant structure before publication.

Nexodo currently uses manual or scheduled synchronization rather than claiming instant event triggers. This is a focused Shopify workflow, not a promise of every marketplace on day one.

Commerce readiness

Validate the catalog against the Shopify experience buyers will use.

Before publishing at scale, test a representative category with variants, identifiers, images, option names, product types, and the metafields that support filters or technical details. Confirm how Shopify collections, search, navigation, and theme templates consume each field rather than assuming a successful API response means the product page is complete.

Use the preview as a release checkpoint, then inspect the resulting storefront on mobile and desktop. Track rejected or incomplete products, corrections after publication, search terms with poor results, and product questions that point to missing content. This closes the loop between upstream governance and the buying experience.
